What is the optimal way of doing meditation
We can practice meditation daily to improve self awareness. Meditation helps in knowing the self and improves the personality. Meditation also helps in reducing the anxiety levels. People practice meditation in different ways. Some will do meditation by chanting mantra along with breathe in and out but some are follow their thoughts with breathe in and out and do not chant. Which kind mediation is better do you think?. When you are just chanting mantras while doing meditation, it could not be possible to think about self hence it won't be much helpful in improve the personality.

Though chanting during meditation could help in relaxation due to activation of para-sympathetic nervous system. When some one doing meditation with out chanting, thoughts may flow and causes for personality development and at some point we can achieve the flow state. In flow state of meditation we do not have any thoughts. When some one achieve the flow state during the meditation where no logic and emotions are act, that is optimal state of meditation.
